It was very satisfying to discover that Pantone’s new colour and indeed ‘Colour of the Year’ 2017 is called ‘Greenery’ so is very apt for a company with Green in its title like us.
According to Pantone: Greenery is a fresh and revitalising shade and symbolic of new beginnings. It is a fresh and zesty yellow green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. A life affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.
We think that some of the descriptions applied to the new Pantone colour also correlate with our ethos. At Urban Green Developments’ we are passionate about making the best use of previously developed land in an environmentally aware, sustainable and hence green way. We also create homes with greater energy efficiency that incorporate, where possible, renewable technologies – we like to call them happy homes.
So as the winter days get shorter, it is clear to see that spring is on its way. With its arrival comes the start of construction at our new flagship development Frith Park in the Surrey Hills village of Walton-on-the-Hill.
Pretty symbolic of Greenery and new beginnings all round really.
